Starting in June of 2016, I got tendinitis in both achilles. I went through therapy and steroid injections, but ended up with surgery in September of 2016. I had a bone spur, and it was shredding my Achilles on my left foot. It was an insertional issue on that leg, so they had to detach my Achilles, cut out the bad parts, file the spur, and reattach the tendon. My legs continued to stay bad, and I was in so much pain when I walked. I went to a new Dr, that was recommended by the other one as he is a foot specialist. He redid my surgery in December of last year. He had to detach it again, and clean up the tendon as it had torn in several places again. My scar tissue had wrapped in and around my Achilles. He had to go up into my leg and do a lot of repair work. He also took a tendon from between my big toe and the one next to it, (the one that allows your toe to bend), wrapping it around back of my heel to support blood flow.
